Matènwa After Hurricane Matthew

Oct 9, 2016

As one walks around Matènwa they feel the wind has settled, the land is a bit drier, but the aftermath is starting to sink in. Cement block homes are standing tall on this somewhat overcast day, while those of rock and limestone remain stripped open. And their owners look defeated. MCLC is committing to raise funds for 33 families to rebuild.

School will resume on Monday. More information will be available after speaking with the children and parents that live in surrounding towns.

Thank you for your concern. Please donate so we can start rebuilding and keep our families healthy.
