Art Matènwa exists to nurture the determination of women and mothers in Matènwa—through art, education, and sustainable livelihoods.

What once began as a humble experiment between Haitian and U.S. women has grown into a vibrant collaborative venture. Today, these women define their destiny: they’re proud of their skills, feeding their families, supporting their children’s education, and staying rooted in the place they call home—no longer forced to migrate in search of survival.
