Summer Camp: Community, Creativity & Connection
Every July, MCLC opens its doors — and its heart — to children and families across Matènwa and nearby towns, welcoming local residents and visitors alike for one- or two-week courses designed around shared learning, cultural exchange, and community building.
In the mornings, we focus on training and staff development. Afternoons are filled with vibrant camp sessions for children of all ages: games, crafts, arts, storytelling, music, sports — and the laughter, energy, and hope that only a summer camp can bring.
Families come together. Visitors bring fresh ideas. MCLC becomes a hub of possibility — where young people and adults alike reconnect with joy, creativity, and community.

What Summer Camp Offers
Over the years, Summer Camp has become a beloved and vital tradition at MCLC — a time when children look forward to art, laughter, learning, and belonging, and families reconnect with hope. Alumni of the camp carry memories, friendships, and sometimes new skills that shape their everyday life.
Teachers return to their classrooms energized with new ideas; young people discover talents and confidence; communities deepen solidarity. What begins as a few playful weeks becomes part of a long journey of resilience, creativity, and shared growth.
