Watch Us Win: FoM is in a competition
AWESOME NEWS!
We’ve been chosen to pitch not one but TWO projects in a SharkTank-style investor competition with a grand prize of $150,000. Whoa!
We pitch our first project Seeds of Solidarity: Planting the Missing Market virtually on Tuesday October 12, 2021 at 7pm.
Your presence gets us closer to the prize. Please come.

For 25 years, we have been working on Lagonav with the Matènwa community to combat food insecurity. Our strategy for sustainability and long-term success has been to address each step of an inequitable food system. So far, we’ve:
taught Gonaviens how recover from decades of deforestation by replenishing the soil through composting, permaculture, and agroforestry,
installed infrastructure that ensures access to water even during droughts, allowing more planting year round on more land, and
lowered the threat of extreme food scarcity by producing food locally.
Our farming families are growing food in their backyards. Now, they need somewhere to sell it. With $150,000 in investor funds, we will curate spaces that unite 40 communities and key players in every successful food system: the grower, the seller, and finally the consumer. Our farm stands will create the local market that Lagonav desperately needs to:
become less dependent on an unreliable and unpredictable food source: the mainland,
make more affordable, higher quality produce more accessible to customers, and
stimulate economy by creating more jobs and more opportunities to sell so that money made on Lagonav stays on Lagonav.
Help us plant the missing market by tuning in to hear our pitch. We will need your votes for a shot to win $150,000!
